On November 16, 2017, 100 East Huron was recognized by the City of Chicago “Retrofit Chicago Energy Challenge” as a member of the “Retrofit Chicago Mayor’s Leadership Circle” for Outstanding Energy Efficiency Achievement.  To win this recognition, the 100 East Huron Community Association has put in place energy-saving measures to reduce energy usage by 20% over the next five years.  A Boiler conversion project, managed by LMS Property Manager Donna Curtin, was completed in 2015 to add energy efficiency.

100 East Huron is the first condominium association member of the “Retrofit Chicago Energy Challenge” to receive this award.  Board President Rhonda Mandel accepted the award on behalf of the association at an award ceremony held on November 16, 2017.

Retrofit Chicago is a broad partnership led by Mayor Rahm Emanuel that seeks to accelerate energy efficiency and performance of public, commercial, and residential buildings. Participants of the Retrofit Chicago Energy Challenge are also leading the way on energy efficiency while saving money, reducing emissions, and making Chicago more livable, competitive, and sustainable.

As an LMS-managed property, we’re proud of the energy-saving efforts of 100 E. Huron. Congratulations to the Board and the Association for this special recognition as a leader in energy efficiency!
